Triple Theo (2007-2010)
Interview, Blind Date, 1-900
Interview and Blind Date have both been completed these past two years by Column Film for their retrospect trilogy entitled Triple Theo. Under the name of Kiss The Cactus Productions (named after Theo van Gogh’s famous use of cactuses for his talkshow), Column realised this project together with New York based Ironworks Productions. Triple Theo’s aim – beyond creating three great films – is to realize the vision of acclaimed international filmmaker Theo van Gogh, whose murder on November 2, 2004 was motivated by political and religious intolerance. Before his death, van Gogh decided to remake three of his Dutch-language films in English, in a New York City setting. All three films are intense character dramas created in a dynamic, stripped-down style using innovative, low-budget filmmaking techniques and a dedicated crew of collaborators.
