The Nation is a story about contemporary Holland. A relevant and gripping miniseries, based on the acclaimed play by the National Theather.
In the Hague’s Schilderwijk, often seen as the Dutch prototype problem area, eleven-year-old Ismaël disappears without a trace. Two detectives start a race against the clock to find the boy but are unable to prevent the turmoil, that has been dormant in the district for some time, from erupting. While all and sundry begin to interfere with the investigation, young Ismaël is slowly forgotten.
